The primary goal of the VisitMaine.com Marketing Partnership Program is to support the Maine tourism industry by offering no-cost opportunities for tourism-related businesses and organizations to be featured on VisitMaine.com. This includes listings, event postings, deals, and more. By participating in this program, you can increase your visibility, reach a broader audience, and contribute to promoting the Maine brand.
Key Features of the Program
- Business Listings: Tourism-related businesses and not-for-profit organizations with locations in Maine can create free listings on VisitMaine.com. These listings are designed to help visitors find businesses and services that will enhance their experience while traveling in Maine. Listings include essential information such as business descriptions, contact details, and links to your website.
- Event Calendar: The VisitMaine.com Event Calendar allows partners to promote special events, festivals, and activities that are of interest to a substantial majority of Maine visitors. This is an excellent way to draw attention to unique events that showcase our state’s vibrant culture and attractions.
- Deals and Special Offers: Partners can post deals and special offers on VisitMaine.com to attract travelers seeking added value during their stay. These deals must provide goods or services at discounted prices or offer packages that enhance the visitor experience. Deals can be active for up to 180 days.
- Articles and Stories: While individual users cannot publish articles directly, the program highlights specific events, activities, and places through articles written by the Maine Office of Tourism (MOT) and its partners. - Tourism-Related Businesses: Businesses must have a physical location in Maine that travelers can visit and provide significant value to a substantial majority of travelers planning a trip to Maine.
- Not-for-Profit Organizations: Educational and cultural institutions such as museums, chambers of commerce, theaters, and historical societies that offer services valuable to visitors are eligible to participate.
