We are excited to announce that VisitMaine.com is undergoing a design refresh, bringing new features and enhanced functionality to the website. As part of this redesign, we are introducing a new database powered by Simpleview to manage our business listings and event data, enhancing the visitor experience and improving how we showcase Maine’s incredible businesses and events.
Important Notice: Temporary Downtime for Business Listings and Database Training
Our current system is currently unavailable until we go live with the new Simpleview database to ensure a smooth transition. During this downtime, you cannot access the current portal to make updates or add new listings. However, rest assured that all your existing business and event information will remain available to visitors on the current website until the new site goes live.
Our team is in the final stages of transferring and setting up all your business and event data in the new Simpleview database. To ensure our partners are fully prepared to navigate the new system, we’ve scheduled two live training sessions led by the Simpleview team. These sessions will each cover the basics of the system, including how to update and manage your business and event listings. You only need to attend one, as each session will cover all information.
How to Register:
To join one of these training sessions, please register below for the date and time that works best for you. If you cannot attend, we’ll provide recordings that can be viewed on demand after the sessions.
Training Dates:
- Session 1: Monday, November 4 at noon. – click here to register

Recap of What’s Ahead:
- Database Training: Attend the training to learn how to access and use the new Simpleview portal to update your listing. If you cannot attend live, you can view the training online (a link will be provided here once it is available).
- Make Changes: Review your current listing or create a new one for the website refresh launch. After the training, you’ll have time to review your listings and ensure everything is in order before the website goes live.
- Changes and additions will not be viewable on the current website and will only go live after the refreshed website launches. You will not be able to view your listing live until this time.
- VisitMaine.com refresh Go-Live Date: The tentative go-live date for the refreshed VisitMaine.com website is mid-to-late November. All current and updated information in the Simpleview database will go live when the website goes live.
What You Need to Know:
- Existing Content: Your current listings will remain online during the transition period, ensuring continued visibility.
- Seamless Transition: We will transfer and set up all your business and event data in the new Simpleview database for you. All your information in this new database will be displayed on the new VisitMaine.com when it goes live.
