DMP Reset and 5-year Strategy for Marketing & Management

The Maine Office of Tourism has developed a state-wide destination management plan. Together with Maine tourism industry stakeholders and residents we have established benchmarks that support destination stewardship, and help balance our industry’s growth with residential quality of life and the inherent qualities that have always drawn people to Maine for vacationing and active, outdoor recreation pursuits.

Maine’s 10 Year Outdoor Recreation Economy Roadmap

Outdoor recreation is a cornerstone Maine’s identity, economy, and quality of life. Our advantage lies in a collaborative industry supported by natural resources.  This roadmap guides collaborative action to build infrastructure, invest in workforce and business development, and communicate the full value of this sector.
