The Maine Office of Tourism attends consumer-travel shows in key markets to directly interact and market to the traveling public. MOT exhibits are designed to support Maine’s tourism marketing campaign and brand. Show staff and materials provide expert advice on things to do and see in all seasons and throughout all regions of the state.
US Trade Shows
In the United States, MOT attends the Big E, New England’s largest agricultural fair; traditional, omnibus travel shows; and adventure shows focused specifically on an outdoor audience. Those events include:

Canadian Travel Shows
MOT usually attends three shows in eastern Canadian cities – Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal – where audiences are eager to hear about Maine. In 2020, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, only the Toronto show was held. A team from MOT staffed a booth at that show.
Hunting & Fishing Shows
MOT attends shows aimed specifically at hunting & fishing audiences in order to meet and talk with fans of those sports. The shows include:
